Setting Up A New Business...again
I got to the office and forgot my swipe card. I must order a new access card. Without planning this start a few days ago it may not have happened. This is to be the launch of my new timetable to ensure I get things done effectively. Someone else works at this crazy hour so I am back in the office.
I resist all urges to switch on my laptop. My email remains unchecked. I do not entertain even making a coffer or going to the loo. Is this guy crazy I hear you say? Well.. The alarm clock is counting down the minutes. By focusing on 1 thing for 25 mins you get it done, mutlitasking does not work.
This is my first of 2 and as long as I reward myself with a break in between it will be fine. So without any further digression lets get back to the subject. Going through another business startup with old experience gets you there quickly. I am embarking on a career in recruitment. Recruitment and business experience add to my list of years in this industry. The passion I feel for it is immense. I want to help other businesses get the right people.
It was essential I got here at 7am as planned. The resistance I am told is strongest when yo are close to your own successes. A party last night and offers of alcohol were turned down. The kids screaming all night.Getting up was a lot harder than the prospect of a few more hours in bed. Starting a new business is challenging. Using the right strategies is vital. I am winning the struggle between work and being idel just by writing this here. A call to action is what I propose in this article. Do you find it hard to get things done? Is your todo list stagnent and unchanging? The time is flying and the clock is indicating my time is up. After 12 of my allocated 25 minutes have elapsed I have written this much. Can't wait to do a word count. Not readily available info as I am writing with good old fashioned pen and paper.
I am very excitied about recruitment. There is a lot I have to do. Online marketing with expert knowledge and guidance will push the business forward. By changing from an old to a new type of business you give yourself a huge task and challenge. If you can work out whats important and whats not you are on a winner. Another idea I had for a business was a guide to good health. A 365 day guide/blog on how to live well, avoid ill health and see through the mainstream practices that are actually harmfull to your health. This is not for examination on this article but definitely a topic for a future article. Its very easy to get distracted. Its important to focus on your goal. One arrow hits one target.
I guess in this article I am putting out there the tug of war one goes through when setting up on your own, there goes the alarm, time is up. recruitment software and a good pc and I am up and running.
