i personally hacked my ipod and love it...multiformat and a rather nice looking screen.
the Meizu Mini Player is a rather good limited multiformat player (limited as in there are formats not in mainstream it doesn't support). but it's got a very limited space.
honestly, you're probably better off raising your limit by a hundred bucks and getting an ipod classic..or a Zune if you really want FM playback. both are pretty good players with decent screens and massive amounts of storage space.
