A Merchandise Post On The Multi-Function Brother DCP-9040 Printer
These days, a lot of small- to medium-scale businesses and home offices alike take advantage of MFPs or multi-function printers like the Brother DCP-9040 printer with DCP-9040 toner. It's capable of producing documents with superb quality while also producing copies and scans. Since you only need to pay for one machine instead of three, money can be saved. What's more, space may be maximized because it has a compact form factor.
For producing your everyday documents, there's a standard input tray that has a 250-sheet capacity while using Brother cartridge. Likewise, there's a 50-sheet capacity multipurpose tray available. A4, A5, A6, B5, B6, folio, letter, legal and executive media sizes are supported. Custom sized documents (2.75 inches x 4.57 inches - 8.5 inches x 16 inches) can be handled by the multipurpose tray. Then there's also a 35-sheet capacity ADF or automatic document feeder.
Essential documents like presentations, reports, flyers and others end up clear and vibrant because the machine employs laser technology. Every minute, as many as 21 monochrome or color documents can be produced. There's a maximum resolution of 2400 x 600 dots per inch (dpi) used. So that it can handle even complicated jobs, there's the 64MB memory that can be upgraded to 576MB. Printer languages installed are PCL 6 and BR-Script 3 so that the machine can render documents containing different font faces.
Copying and scanning become more versatile tasks with the document glass or platen around. Whenever you're working with something within the letter document size, this feature may be used. It also becomes advantageous when you need to copy or scan thick books or other objects. But then, there's the automatic document feeder which allows you to save time if you need to work with up to 35 sheets at a time.
As many as 17 monochrome or color copies may be done a minute. A computer doesn't have to be switched on since it's a stand-alone copier. Reduce the document to as much as 25 percent or have it enlarged up to 400 percent. Paper may be saved because of the two and four-in-one copying features provided.
The scanner part of the machine employs 2400 x 1200 dots per inch optical resolution. For better quality, there's a 19200 dpi resolution available (interpolated). BMP, JPEG, MAX, PDF and TIFF are the formats supported and they may be sent straight to an e-mail, FTP, OCR, image or file for your scanning convenience.
A total of four cartridges are employed by this all-in-one printer. As many as 2500 pages can be yielded by the black toner cartridge while the magenta, cyan and yellow can produce approximately 1500 pages. A DR110CL drum unit is also used, capable of yielding up to 17000 impressions. The monthly duty cycle is 35000 pages.
The hi-speed USB 2.0 port is used for hooking up the Brother DCP-9040 printer to a single computer and using Brother DCP-9040 cartridges. For sharing, there's the Ethernet 10/100 Base-TX interface. Enabling you to access the printing, copying and scanning features of this 72.2-pound machine easily is the control panel boasting of a backlit display (monochrome) and using Brother replacement toner. Measuring 17.0 x 19.2 x 19.0 inches (W x D x H), it's suitable for installation in home offices and small- to medium-scale businesses and using cartridge toner.
Turkish company builds 65-inch Android 'tablet' with Honeycomb, 1080p support (video) (Engadget)
Want Honeycomb on your TV? You can take your chances with a Google TV-enabled
set from Sony, or you can get the full Android experience by adding a
connected tablet to your HD mix -- if Istanbul-based Ardic gets its solution
out the door, at least. The Turkish company's prototype uses a 10-inch Android
Honeycomb-based tablet to power a 65-inch LCD with 1080p support for basic
gestures, like pinch and zoom. The display currently has two touch sensors,
but a version with four sensors is on the way, which will bring multi-touch
support. The tablet is powered by an NVIDIA Tegra 2 SoC, and includes 1GB of
RAM, 16GB of flash memory, dual cameras, HDMI, USB, microSD and 3G and WiFi
connectivity. A dock enables instant connectivity with the OEM TV, including
HDMI for video and audio, and USB for touch input (a wireless version is in
the works as well).
The devs customized Android to support 1080p output, and it appears to work
quite seamlessly, as you'll see in the embedded video. And this isn't simply
another goofy demo or proof of concept -- the Turkish company is in talks with
education and enterprise ...
